Complete the LOI by April 13

When we released more details about our grant program scope and eligibility on April 1, we received several messages from groups that had not previously heard about, or fully realized the scope of, this opportunity. One of our goals is to achieve greater equity in funding art that reflects the full diversity of American culture, and the last thing we want to do is leave out eligible groups — some of whom have surely been impacted disproportionately by a long history of economic and racial segregation.

The deadline for new applicants is 11pm CT on Tuesday, April 13th. This new LOI window will not change the previously announced timing of the rest of our grant program.

  • If you have already completed the LOI: We will still send grant application invites to eligible groups on Monday, April 12th, and the application deadline will remain Monday, May 3rd.
  • If you are newly completing the LOI: We will let you know if you are eligible to apply for our grant program by Tuesday, April 20th (one week after the LOI deadline), and the deadline for the grant application will be Monday, May 3rd (the same deadline for everyone). We recognize that these groups will have slightly less time to complete their grant application, but we believe this is in the best interest of getting funds into the hands of art leaders as soon as possible.
